The Hero

While Mom and Teri were here we had a bit of car trouble. The roads here aren't always kept up the best and we hit a few major pot holes. The kind that you can't avoid because there's other traffic on the road but that can cause fun things like flat tires.

On Wednesday night we were driving home from another town up north a bit and we hit one of these fun pot holes and got a flat tire. It was dark and we were outside of town on a little two lane country road.

So there was my wonderful husband. He donned the required reflector vest and put out the required orange reflector triangle and quickly changed the tire. What a guy!

I bet we were quite a sight. A pregnant lady, a lady in a wheelchair, my cute sister, and a flat tire. So fun! :-)

Oh my word! You have to wear that reflector vest to change a tire? That is hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good thing you had a spiffy reflector vest handy! LOL...

Wow, what a handy guy. I'd be jealous of the vest, but actually I have one of my own. At our last staff meeting, my principal passed them out and told us to wear them when we're on duty. Just bringing a touch of dignity to the teaching profession. =)

It's actually a LAW that everyone have the yellow reflector vest in their car and wear them if they have to pull over for any reason. You could be fined for not having your cute yellow reflector vest AND your orange reflector triangle.

In this situation I was quite glad for the reflector triangle because we were on a small two lane road in the dark. It gave people a warning to watch out for something.

What a guy. :-)
