5 Months!

Beautiful, Amazing, Thoughtful, Adorable

Along with getting to spend time with my wonderful in-laws, a bonus of them visiting us is that they come bearing lots of gifts - not just from them but from other wonderful friends too. We got a really cool kids Bible from one family and some Veggie Tales CDs from another (Katie was trying to sing the theme song today, too cute) and these adroable, amazing, super cute - hand made!!!!! matching dresses! Thank you Tina!!!!!

Well, it hasn't been quite warm enough for sun dresses yet so I tried to stage a little photo shoot this afternoon to document the cuteness. Katie poked herself in the eye some how right before we started and things went downhill FAST. Check out the fun...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the dresses (did you notice that they even have matching diaper covers??? The cuteness...) and I look forward to an oportunity for the girls to wear them and take some real pictures of them!

Last Minute Trip

My wonderful sister Trisha's birthday is tomorrow! Totally at the last minute I decided to try to come see her for a long weekend. We found a fabulous deal on plane tickets so off we went.

After a bit of crazy travel on my own with two kids that involved 2 flights, a five hour layover, and a three hour car ride in a rental car in the middle of the night we made it here safe and sound.

Pray we're able to get home on Tuesday as planned and that the volcano in Iceland doesn't delay us. Seriously, a volcano in Iceland...

Grandma and Papa Shoe

Grandma and Papa Shoe got to visit last week and meet Carly for the first time! We had a lovely week together and lovely weather to match! Yeah!

They delivered our new double jogging stroller! Yippee!

We tried dying eggs but she wasn't so interested. I think it has to do with the fact that our eggs are brown so the pink and yellow dyes didn't show up at all. Any suggestions?

Later we had an egg hunt at the park with our neighbor. They loved it!

Good Friday

It's pretty easy to miss or forget about holidays over here because there's not the same hype or Hallmark marketing going on to help you get ready starting months in advance.

Yesteday was Good Friday and it was a holiday here but it was easy to miss why it was a holiday. I don't usually post other videos on here but I think this one is worth it. I saw it at a Good Friday service in DB a few years ago and I thought it was really powerful. Check it out.
