Friday Favorites...

Here we are. Another week has flown by! How does that happen??? This week was quite full of class, homework and new teeth. I just got home after being gone all day at class and then a 4 hour long test. Whew! I'm pooped and headed to bed for some sleepy sleep! So this week my favorites...

1. My great husband taking great care of our little one so I can take this class. Thanks, Babe!

2. Good practice in Portuguese and some interesting cultural insights. I'll share some sometime but not today...

3. Yep, coming home to a baby who is SO sweet and SO happy to see me still tops the list. It's pretty fun.

4. Teri's enchilada recipe from Erin. Dinner last night. Good stuff.

A Big Little Fan

Yes, our Angels have made it to the playoffs and to celebrate Jonathan hung this great big poster on the wall in Katie's room. GO ANGELS!!!

Double the Fun

Katie's hair is pretty cute. It basically sticks up all on the top. It sure gets a lot of attention. People comment on it almost everywhere we go. In Portuguese they say it's "em pe" or standing up.

Part of why it sticks up so much is because she has a double cowlick . Where the two circles come together she has a natural mow hawk and it just sticks straight up. Pretty cute.


While we were in the US my mom's Chinese friend told her that in Chinese culture it means that the person is very bright. Nice! I knew she was smart! Now I have my proof!

Last week someone else told me that it means that I'll have twins next. :-) Hmm...

Friday Favorites...

1. Coming home after class everyday and having Katie SO happy to see me!
I'm taking a Portuguese class for a couple of weeks that is 4 hours a day Mon-Fri so Jonathan is being Mr. Mom while I'm gone. He and Katie are having a great time.

2. Sleeping through the night again! It took a few days of adjustment but Katie is doing great and adjusted to the time change of being back. I love sleep!

Here's a video Jonathan took of her when she was up at 2:30 the other night. Who can sleep when there is so much fun to be had!

It's late and I'm tired so those are all of the favorites I can think of right now...

Home Again?

Well, here we are, home again. But wait, where is "home" exactly??? That is a profound question I don't have an answer to because I was just visiting "home", right? If home is where your stuff is, than I'm home and glad to be.

I think we're pretty much over jet lag and Katie is back to sleeping wonderfully through the night (hallelujah!!). I started back in language class the morning after we returned. It has been tough to wake up in the mornings with the kiddo waking us up at night but otherwise the class is great and I'm glad I'm doing it. It'll be over at the end of the month. Short commitment, that's a nice thing. :-)

I'll try to post some more pictures of our cutie-pie soon. I have to download them first...

Conquering New Heights!

Katie is continuing to explore and conquer new challenges. When we went to check out Uncle Tim's new condo she attacked the stairs and they were no match for her! On her very first attempt she made it to the top (with plenty of parental supervion, of course).

Katie loves the Angels! She got to go to her first Angel's game a few weeks ago. It was lots of fun!

A Sick Baby

She's all better now but she looked so sad when she was sick!

Hanging out with Uncle Tim

Jonathan and I got to get away to Big Bear for a night. We left Katie with Grammy and Grandpa. This is Jonathan on a Wave Runner on Big Bear Lake. I also got to get away to Big Bear with Sarah and Laura. It was great fun friend time!

At Jessie's birthday party Katie got her first party favors. Thanks Jessie Girl!
