The boys, just hanging out
Hmmm, why do the girls have towels on their heads while playing on the computer, you ask? Yep, it's true, we got head lice for the very first time. I knew this day would come but I was still so sad when it did. Every year when I was a teacher one of my students would get lice and I would be SO paranoid and itch just hearing about it. I guess it comes with the territory when kids are in school so we've now experienced it for the first time. In the end, Big Sister was the only one who had it but we treated all 3 of us girls with the awful smelling shampoo and careful hair inspection. A very sweet friend was SO kind and went through all of my hair for me. That folks is real friendship!
Man oh man, getting rid of those little tiny bugs takes so much work! The laundry we had to do, the cleaning! Oh my, I'm tired just thinking about it. With head lice and a mild stomach flu that went around I felt like I was doing laundry for a week non-stop!
Daddy was gone at a conference for a week so one night we made a tent and the three of us girls actually slept in it for the night! I have to say that I got more sleep than I expected to but I guess I wasn't expecting much... It was fun and made a good memory.
Mother's Day passed and Daddy helped the kiddos make this for me. I was so surprised! A craft with the kids! That's serious Daddy points! :-)
It is an adorable bouquet of flowers made from pipe cleaners and cupcake papers. Super cute!
Somehow I didn't get a picture of myself with the kids on Mother's Day, I'll have to work on that next year!
