Today I had an ultrasound and it confirmed that...

it's a GIRL!!!

Yes, we're very excited about another girl. It'll be wonderful for Katie to have a sister and, hey, we can use all of that pink stuff again! :-)

Just keeping you up to date, I'm 22 weeks along which means she's due on November 15th. The ultrsound looked great and she seems healthy and active. We're so thankful!

At my last ultrasound about 10 weeks ago the doctor said he thought it was a girl but he wasn't sure so we were waiting for some confirmation before spreading the news too far.

First Haircut!!!

So, the little lady's hair has started looking a little scraggly so we decided it was time for a haircut. She didn't cry but she didn't smile either. The look on her face was pretty much a "What do you think you're doing?" kind of look.

I think it turned out nice!

Happy 4th!

When you're not in America and there are no fireworks to see what do you do on the 4th? Eat American food! We went to Chili's for dinner with some American friends. Yum, yum, yum!

Our weekend

We had another visitor this weekend! Karen just finished backpacking her way across the north of Spain and came to visit us after she finished. Here's a few weekend highlights:

At the Castle

Swimming Lessons! Finally a picture of Katie in her cap and suit! EVERYONE has to wear the hats. Darn, there's no picture of ME in my very stylish swimming cap...

While we were at the monastary they were getting ready for a big wedding inside the church. There was paparazzi around and we could tell this was someone famous. We asked a security guy who it was and he told us the name of a famous football (soccer) player and it was his son's wedding. When we got home I was telling my neighbor about it but I couldn't quite remember the name of the player. I said it was this or this - do you recognize one of those. She kind of looked at me like I was nuts and of course she recognized the name. I think it was like me asking someone if the guys name was Joe Montana or John Montana. Duh!? Who doesn't know that?

One-and-a-Half

Yep! The little cutie-pie is exactly one-and-a-half today! She's growing well and doing great!

She's been enjoying finding hats and putting them on. Today she found her swimming cap. Looks good with the dress, I think.
