We had the sweetest time in Des Moines. Jonathan was able to meet with a church who is interested partnering with us and visited some friends who work in Brazil.
Then we got to see Aunt Marjorie. Aunt Marjorie isn't really my aunt, she was my grandmother's cousin but we've always called her Aunt Marjorie.
Oh, what a sweet visit we had! We got to have lunch with Marjorie and her brother and his daughter. They were so sweet to our travel-weary girls and we had such sweet conversation. What a blessing!
We got ourselves a GPS for Christmas and this trip made us BIG fans! So here we were in Des Moines on a rainy weeknight with nothing to do so we looked up "pizza" on our GPS and found a Chuck E. Cheese a mile away! We'd never taken the girls to Chuck E. Cheese before and we had a blast! So did the half of Des Moines that showed up at Chuck E. Cheese that night too! I guess there's not much to do on a freezing cold night...
Riding in a car with a big purple dinosaur. Fun times for everyone!
After our time in Des Moines we drove back up to Minneapolis to fly home. It was full and busy and such a wonderful trip! We did not freeze to death or have our car break down on the side of the road in the middle of a blizzard (ala the Long Winter for you Little House on the Prairie fans) as I feared. We SO enjoyed every stop and every visit that we made. Thanks to you who hosted us! We miss you and love you!
